Write a synopsis of each book, and explain in writing why that book is good or not. Think of how you would personalise the narrative. Identify a theme or idea you want to convey in your work. Remember Tolkien was denied a Nobel Prize in Literature because his prose was said to be ordinary. But his books are some of the best loved in history. You don’t have to be masterful with wordplay to write a masterful work.
