Great question. I think it’s probably difficult to estimate our own personal consumption. The best method is probably to take national statistics to give us a very rough estimate using population. The USDA provides data. I also came across the national chicken council stats. It’s a good exercise in looking at the business of “producing” meat, and the tremendous suffering that is involved.
