I, and people I know, have also used it as shorthand for mushrooms being prepared and then eaten for a meal. “You want shrooms in your omelet?” “Ordering pizza? Get one with shrooms.” That is different from “shrooming”, which has to do with being under the influence of magic psilocybin mushrooms.
