achieve as smooth as in DC motor. There are following
few methods of speed control.
a. By changing the number of poles of stator.
b. By changing the applied voltage to the stator.
c. Frequency control method.
d. Rotor rheostat control.
e. By operating two motors in concatenation or cascade
or tandem method.
f. By injecting an emf in the rotor circuit.
g. By changing slip.
