How is double bond formed in alkenes?

1 Answer

Answer :

In alkenes, two hydrogen atoms are less when compared to the saturated hydrocarbons.

The two of the carbon atoms in the molecule is joined together by two covalent bonds.

Thus a double bond is formed.
