It depends on what your religion is. Jews and Christians count the Hebrew Bible as sacred. Christians also count the New Testament as sacred. Muslims recognize both of those as perhaps flawed sacred texts but give their greatest respect to the Koran. Sikhs ignore those western texts and put their trust in the Guru Granth Sahib, a book of the teachings of the Gurus. Hindus consider the Bhagavad Gita sacred, but there are many other ancient texts that Hindus consider sacred to varying extents. There are also Buddhist sacred texts.
