Son : Nothing dad! I am bored so playing mobile game.

Father : It’s too bad to use mobile phones excessively. You know Vinay,  many youngsters are getting addicted to the mobile  phones.

Son : I know. But what should I do when I am bored?

Father : You should read great books. Use mobile phone to find  information related to your studies and not for playing mobile  games. Play on the ground. Technology should be used for  our benefit but it should not overtake us.

Son : Yes dad! I agree.

Father : Excessive use of mobile phones also affects our eyes.

Son : I got it dad. I will use mobile phones only for finding  study related information and to make calls.

Father : That’s great. Now, I have to go to the office. Bye!

Answer :

Father: Son, can I talk to you for a moment?

Son: Sure, Dad. What's up?

Father: I've noticed that you've been spending a lot of time on your mobile phone lately. I'm worried that it's becoming excessive.

Son: What do you mean? I don't think I use it that much.

Father: Well, I've noticed that you're on it all the time, even when we're having dinner or when we're spending time together as a family. It's starting to interfere with our quality time together.

Son: Oh, I didn't realize that. I guess I do spend a lot of time on it.

Father: Yes, and it's not just the time, it's also the way you use it. I've noticed that you're always checking your phone, even when you're not getting any notifications. It's becoming a distraction for you.

Son: I see what you mean, Dad. I'll try to be more mindful of it from now on.

Father: I appreciate that, son. I know it can be hard to put down the phone, but it's important to be present in the moment and to spend time with the people around you.

Son: Yeah, you're right. I'll make sure to use my phone less and be more present with you and the family.

Father: That's all I ask for. And if you ever feel the need to use your phone excessively, just let me know and we can talk about it.

Son: Thanks, Dad. I will.

Answer :

Father: Hey son, can we talk about your mobile phone usage for a minute?

Son: Sure, what's up dad?

Father: I've noticed that you seem to be spending a lot of time on your phone lately, and I'm concerned about the impact it might be having on you.

Son: What do you mean? I'm just texting my friends and playing some games.

Father: That's fine, but it seems like you're using it almost non-stop, even when you're eating or hanging out with the family. It's important to strike a balance and not let technology consume all of our time and attention.

Son: I guess I didn't realize it was that much.

Father: That's okay. The thing is, too much screen time can affect your sleep, your eyesight, and even your mental health. It's important to take breaks and engage in other activities, like spending time outside, reading a book, or playing sports.

Son: I see what you mean. I don't want to be on my phone all the time.

Father: Great! I'm glad we had this conversation. How about we set some limits on your phone usage? For example, we could limit it to an hour after school and a few hours on the weekends. And, we can also make sure to have phone-free family time together, like during dinner.

Son: That sounds good to me. I'll try to be more mindful of my phone usage from now on.

Father: Excellent! I'm proud of you for being open to making changes. Let's work together to find a healthy balance.
