After an interview if you have not been contacted give your interviewers some time before contacting them. They might have little time to shortlist all interviews which can be a hectic work. As an interviewer I do not mind being contacted by an interviewee unless they called in less than a week, which I consider 'pushy'. Wait at least a week before getting in touch through an email or a friendly but eloquent phone call. Introduce yourself, and ask if it is good time to talk (if it is a phone call), mention the date of the interview and how you were pleased and felt that you had a good connection with the job/position and wanted to know if you have been shortlisted/selected for further interviews. Wait and listen for the answer patiently without interrupting. If they did not yet decide, do apologise sincerely, sympathise with how hectic the loads of work can be for them ask if you can get in touch with them again in a week or two, ask if they do not mind (listen carefully, try to not be robotic, during a phone call, if someone is in hurry do not keep them on the line too long, on an email this will be easier) In case the answer is 'unfortunately we are sorry you have not been selected', Tell them that you understand, thank them for their time and wish them all the best with their recruitment procedures. Try to not offer and or suggest to contact you for any further job positions. Your positive and professional attitude is what will make them consider you for future openings.
