1)Neutral Flame:

When oxygen and acetylene are supplied to the torch in nearly equal volumes, a neutral flame is produced. It has two definite zones - A sharp brilliant inner cone, An outer cone or envelop of bluish colour.

2)Oxidizing Flame:

An oxidizing flame is one in which there is an excess of oxygen. The flame has two zones- the smaller inner cone which has purplish tinge, the outer cone or envelop.
Copper base metal like Brass & bronze, zinc base metal, a few types of ferrous metal such as manganese steel and cast iron.
3)Carburizing Flame or Reducing Flame:
