Why doesn't the wire get hot in a circuit going from a battery through a light bulb?

1 Answer

Answer :

Actually the wire WILL get hot, but specifically HOW MUCH itgets hot depends on the current, and on the resistance of thewire. In most circuits, the resistance of the wire (and thus, theamount of heating) is insignificant, and can safely be ignored formost calculations.
