There are several ways for you to save gas when cooking: When heating water - only heat the amount of water that is needed. Cover your pot with a lid so that the water will boil faster. When cooking pasta - bring the water to a boil, cover the pot until the water boils, add your pasta, bring the water back to a boil, now turn off the stove and cover the pot. The pasta will cook in the hot water and it will take about 20 minutes to cook the pasta like this. Make sure the flame burns blue on the stove and not yellow or orange. If this happens the stove needs to be kept clean. When cooking user a lower heat on the stove to cook the food. Make sure you have all your ingredients next to the stove when you start to cook. always keep the stove clean and make sure the burners are kept clean. When done cooking, turn off the gas.
