Would you rather buy something if it's a special offer?

I mainly think about food..there are a lot of people who used to buy x products. He sees something in promotional form and says wow but with a good special offer I bought what a good deal I did. Although it's still double as much as he used to buy anyway. Do you understand that?

I mostly buy everything on sale. Of course, I compare it to the prices of other stores and if it is cheaper at a basic price elsewhere than at a discount there, I will not buy it. I know they often cheat on percentage discounts, which is also a psychological gimmick, like it all ends in 99, deceiving less intelligent customers with these.
