Newborn refers to a child up to 28 days after birth. The most common problem these children have during the winter is getting a cold. The child sneezes frequently , has a stuffy nose , makes noises , and occasionally coughs. Parents , relatives take the child to the hospital or doctor feeling anxious. Or buy antibiotics from a local drug store without a doctor's advice and feed the baby. Sometimes physicians unnecessarily prescribe antibiotics , even injections , which are not exactly right. The fact is that the newborn is new to the world. Just came to earth from the warmth of the womb. The cold winter air enters through the baby's nose and tickles the nose and trachea , causing the baby to sneeze or cough. When the skin inside the nose becomes swollen, the baby's nose stays closed. In this case, check if your baby is breathing fast (60 times or more per minute). If the lower part of the chest is getting inside or not , if it is, then it should be understood that the child has pneumonia. If the child has any of these symptoms or the child becomes lethargic , eats less or has difficulty breathing, then the child should be taken to the doctor or hospital as a matter of urgency. Let's not forget that there is no need for antibiotics in the common cold. If the nose is closed, the child will be able to relax and eat only by wiping the nose with a soft cloth or two drops of 'normal drop' on a cotton bud. Cover the baby especially his head with a warm cloth so that the baby does not get cold. Wear a soft cloth hat. Take a bath with lukewarm water for two or three consecutive days. And repeatedly give breast milk to the baby. Breast milk boosts the baby's immune system ; At the same time, mother's affection keeps the baby warm. Keep you and your newborn healthy.
