How to Grow Basil
Selecting Site for Basil
Pick a planting site that has full coverage of sunlight since sunlight is the number one need of the basil. If the planting site is not well lit, it is advised that you put it in movable containers.
For the soil, basil is like other herbs that are not very sensitive with soil ph. However, it requires soil that is really well drain but has enough moisture to make sure that the basil plants will not wilt.

If you are planting the basil in movable containers or pots, you have to make sure that adequate drainage is available from the bottom part of the pot.
However, if you are planting the basil outside, you have to dig and remove all the weeds before sowing.
It is advised that you water the site at least a day earlier prior to sowing to make sure that the soil is moist.
