Who doesn’t want to be a Jedi? Ever since George Lucas showed Star Wars to the masses in 1977, millions of fan boys have wanted to become a Jedi and wield a lightsaber. Well, now you may not become a Jedi, but you can make your own lightsaber out of really cheap materials.
What you’ll need:
Stainless steel tube
Duct tapes
PVC pipe
Rivet
How You’ll Do It:
Step 1
To make the hilt, cut a small piece of the stainless steel tube. Cut the top part at a 45-degree angle to give it more of a lightsaber look.
Step 2
Use different colored duct tapes to make the pattern for the hilt of your light saber. It’s your choice on how you’re going to make the pattern. The more personalized it is, the better, as it will make your lightsaber unique. Put a loop at the end so you can attach it to your belt.
Step 3
Slide the PVC pipe into the tube. Drill a hole on the side to put the rivet in so your pipe won’t fall out.
Step 4
Use duct tapes in order to mark your lightsaber’s blade. It’s useful when you’re rotoscoping, so you can easily figure out where the ends of the lightsaber blade are.
The good part of this lightsaber is that all the materials are pretty much cheap; in fact, you can get most of them free since they’re just common household things. With your cheap lightsaber, you can become a Jedi without having to shell out extra cash.
