Balika Samridhi Yojana is a project of Social Welfare Department. This assistance is available directly from the CDPO's office. Once the registration of the birth of a daughter of a family living below the poverty line is completed, a one-time assistance of Rs.500 / - is provided till the birth of two daughters. This 500 rupees is deposited in the name of the baby girl in the account of the nearest bank or post office. When the baby girl starts going to school , she gets a scholarship under this project. The money of this scholarship is also deposited in the account in the name of the baby girl. At the age of 18, the girl will get the money, including interest , if she does not get married before then.
