Cochlea 1. The organ associated with hearing. 2. Spiral like the shell of a snail. Divided into three longitudinal ducts with two curtains. 3. Inside the cochlear duct, there is a cortical organ consisting of sensory capillaries. 4. The cochlea receives hearing stimuli and transmits them to the brain through nerves. Vestibular apparatus 1. A part of the body's balance. The sac-like utriculus consists of the saculus and three semicircular ducts. 2. Eutriculus , Saculus cavity contains macula with sensory capillaries. 3. Ampoules of semicircular ducts contain cupulas and sensory cells. 4. Maintains body balance.
