How do fireflies display dichotomy at night ?

1 Answer

Answer :

The lower abdomen of the firefly has a self-contained bluish-green glow. They can be seen flickering like stars in the darkness of night. Together they can flicker in one rhythm. This luminosity comes from the oxidation of luciferin by a combination of oxygen and ATP. As a result, they can turn on the light.
