The result was: The Britain and the Aboringinal soldiers won and the Americans were defeated. After the battle ended, the Americans were prepared to surrender and give up, but were afraid of what Aborignal combatants would do to them when they were prisoners. FitzGibbon merely began the process of the surrender , but it was Major P. W. De Haren of the 104th Regiment, who came with reinforcements that the surrender was fully formed.
