Military powers: The President is vested with military powers also which are: (i) The President is the supreme commander of the armed forces of India. (ii) He appoints the Chiefs of the three wings of the Army, subject to certain rules and regulations. (iii) He can declare war or conclude peace with any foreign power on the advice of Council of Ministers.
