Democracies don't appear to reduce economic disparities considerably: 1. Even though dictatorships have a slightly higher economic growth rate than democracies from 1950-2000, the difference of the rates is very low. 2. Economic development varies from country to country because of several factors like population, economic priorities. relations with other countries etc. 3. Even though democratic form of government doesn't ensure complete economic development, it doesn't stay very far from other forms of government.
