Basic chemicals undergo processing to further produce other chemicals that are used for industrial application, agriculture or directly for consumer markets. For example, sulphuric acid is used to manufacture synthetic fibres and plastics or petrochemicals are used for producing synthetic fibres and synthetic rubber, etc.
