Answer :

It's very hot off & on...and Only the last day of July............I would hold off on taking any leaves off as the pumpkin will mature and ripen faster and go bad.  If you want bigger pumpkins.............follow the main vine and keep one pumpkins per vine and cut off the rest of the vine.  don't touch if if it is wet.
