Now is the time to get dormant oil from the lawn store.  Mix according to the fall directions.  Keep children & pets away from the area that you are working in.  Wear old long clothing, goggles, mask, gloves & hat.  Don't spray if it is going to rain and not if it windy.  We spray again in the spring.  read the label for amounts.  We keep spraying all the way up to bud stage........once the bud opens, we stop and only spray the trunk up to the first branch.  We had to put wire cages around our 100 trees because of deer & rabbits.  I also hang 1/2 bar of original Irish Spring to keep them out of our fields.  Good luck with your fruit trees.
