partial shade to sun...............likes to be planted by itself with no other plants around them..................does not winter well, will die in the frost.  needs good drainage, mulch and feed every 3 or 4 weeks, fish emulsion or blood meal, likes acid soil containing organic matter. Prune off old flowers, use light horicultural oil to control bugs.  Hope that you live in the southern area because up here in NEPA they are house plants as it is too cold for those beautiful plants.
