They are succulents, like sandy soil, good drainage, loves rock garden, full sun to partial shade zone 3 to 11.  mother dies off after babies......use sand with some peat mixed together likes to dry out between watering or it will rot.  ph 6.6-7.5 shallow hole, don't plant too deep.  You also could use something like a strawberry pot with rocks in the bottom...needs good drainage.
