JET is a very well respected program. It’s fairly difficult to get into, especially if you do not know Japanese. It would really help us recommend programs if you knew where you wanted to go. However, there are many, many programs that do not allow you to choose the specific city within the nation that you travel to, which is to say, there is a chance of being stuck in a very small town in any of them.
