What kind of pc? Dell has a decent driver search function. Not sure why installing a video card would knock out your sound card. Are you sure you didn’t physically dislodge the sound card while you were in there? Or is it integrated sound? Did you enter the device manager and uninstall the sound device then reboot and let XP try to reinstall the driver itself?
