The point was to entice people to upgrade to the “ultimate” exp. I have every confidence that M$ would have devoted more resources to fleshing out the Ultimate extras program had Vista not recieved such bad press from the get-go… It appears as though they had to divert their attention to spin-control, so they could not deliver on one of the most redeeming qualities of the OS… Ohh the irony…
