How do you deal with a person who won't stop talking to you?

1 Answer

Answer :

answer:I’d say bring a book. Even if you don’t intend to read it. Just bring one with you, a thick one. Nothing too popular, because he may have read it & will want to discuss it later (when you finish it). When he starts the conversation up, just pull up the book & politely say,‘I’m sorry, I really wanted to get some reading done on this trip.’ Already have the book open & ready to read. After a few trips of you telling him that you want to read instead, his need to converse with you will most likely fade. Other suggestion, talk with him or any one else. You never know what they could be dealing with. Why are they on this 3 hour ride with you? They could be going to see their spouse or child in the hospital who is getting treatments. Some people need to talk to feel at ease. Enjoy the company of strangers. It’s a 3 hour ride, have fun with it.
