answer:I know that steel cut oats go through less processing, so there’s a debate about whether or not rolled oats (which are also steamed to cut back on cooking time) have less vitamins and minerals. Steel cut oats also have a lower glycemic index than rolled oats – but both are still considered “low”. So, health-wise, the debate rages on. The biggest and most noticeable difference is going to be found in the taste. Steel cut oats tend to be a little chewier and have a nuttier taste than rolled oats.
