Each time a ball bounces, gravity reverses. Will it reach relativistic speeds?

1 Answer

Answer :

answer:No, gravity creates a constant increase in speed per second, that fherefore will be smaller after wvery bounce. (At higher speeds, the ball will have a shorter time before it reaches its next bounce.) The 10% speed loss however will increase while speed increases. So the speed loss each bounce will increase, while the speed increase will decrease between each bounce. These will converge. And congrats on 10K!

Last Answer : Answer: D(15 : 20 : 12) Explanation: Ratio of speeds = 4 : 3 : 5 Therefore Ratio of times taken [t=d/s or t indirectly proportional to s when distance is same]= (1/4) : (1/3) : (1/5) = 15 : 20 : 12

Last Answer : D Ratio of speeds = 5:6 Ratio of time =6:5 Suppose P takes 6x hrs and Q takes 5x hrs to reach the target. Then, 6x – 5x = 45/60 X=3/4 Time taken by P = 6x hrs =(6*3/4)hrs =4.5 hrs i.e., the time taken by P to reach the target is 4hrs 30mins
