FOUR people died (and countless injuries) because he was drinking and drugging and decided to get behind the wheel of a several ton unguided missile. And what was the parole violation that prompted their “run for the border”? Yup. Drinking/drugging again. He’s certainly old enough to understand the consequences of his actions (I mean, he did KILL 4 PEOPLE after all) so I think they should both do some serious time. Whether they actually will or not is another question entirely. They’re white and rich and live in Texas, so… Maybe the best we can hope for is that he drinks himself into an early grave or accidentally ODS on some combo of the booze and drugs he persists in doing. It’s taken out people far less deserving of death who actually contributed positively to society (Philip Seymore Hoffman, just to name one ) This kid needs to be removed because he’s a danger to society. Some people just don’t learn. If this had been a poor black or Latino kid, he’d already be on death row. I don’t know how the original judge who let him off easy can look at himself in the mirror.
