Answer :

My ex wife was on Provigil for a long time, and may still be taking it. Used as prescribed, it makes one almost instantly awake and alert, and able to concentrate. It is not “speedy”, and it isn’t for staying up all night. It can be abused- if taken late in the day, then one needs something to sleep, and then a bad cycle can start. And, there ae quite a few possible side effects.
