I didn’t watch the debates, but I certainly wouldn’t disqualify a candidate on the basis of semantics. We are a democratic republic, or a representative democracy. Democracy is an American principle, whether it is the singular label for our system of government. I heard Beto bombed and Gabbard called out Saudi Arabia.
