Define reluctance and give its unit.

2 Answers

Answer :

The opposition to the flow of flux is called as reluctance. Reluctance is denoted by S. Reluctance is the resistance to magnetic flux.

The unit of reluctance is Ampere per Weber (A/Wb).
Mathematically reluctance is given by,
S= l/μa
Where, S = reluctance
l = length
μ = permeability
a = area

Answer :

Reluctance is the resistance offered the material to the passage of magnetic flux through it and corresponds to resistance in the electric circuit it is denoted by (s)
And it's unit is amper per weber
(A/Wb)
