What is critical angle of attack and what will happen when it is exceeded?

1 Answer

Answer :

The angle of attack which produces the maximum lift coefficient is called as the critical angle of attack. It is also called as the "stall angle of attack". At the critical angle of attack, upper surface flow is more separated and the airfoil is producing its maximum coefficient of lift. As the angle of attack increases further, the upper surface flow becomes more and more fully separated and the airfoil produces less coefficient of lift and will stall.
