Most Christians consider the race of Jesus to be utterly irrelevant because they believe that Jesus was sent to earth on behalf of all mankind. Many naive Christians think of Jesus as looking like them, so in Africa, you find many depictions of a black Jesus while in Europe, you find many depictions of a white Jesus. Educated Christians generally assume that Jesus probably looked like other residents of Galilee at the time, which is to say, probably quite similar to the people living between the southwest coast of the Mediterranean and Iraq.
