How A Phase Converter Works?

1 Answer

Answer :

What a phase converter is a device that can take a single phase of electrical current and turn it into a multiple phase electrical current. The most common type of phase converter is single to triple phase power. When this occurs it takes the power of three different power conductors which peaks evenly and around one third before the other. There are three different types of phase converters. They are digital phase converter, rotary phase converter, and a static phase converter. Although all three types of phase converters produce about 1/3 voltage and add to the other two voltages found within the converter, they accomplish this in different ways. The rotary phase converter uses a separate motor which is three phase. It also uses a group of capacitors which in unison work as one large cap
