As with most herbicides, MMSA can be harmful to your children and even yourself with direct or prolonged contact. It does have an organic arsenic component to it that so far has been deemed relatively non toxic and has warnings to avoid direct contact with skin and against ingesting. If it is used in your yard, local parks, sports turfs or farmland you should keep the children away for at least a day following application.
