I am a very punctual person and would stress if I was late for anything. Even if I had no sleep the night before I would still make sure I was on time for anything I had to do the next day . However some people really don't have that sense of urgency and I don't think it is anything to do with whether they had enough sleep, they just don't give themselves enough time to reach a destination at the required time.They always seem to be preoccupied with something less important so they are rushing around at the last moment. I had a friend once who was never on time for when we arranged a night out. We would fix a time but I knew that when I went round for her she would still have ringing wet hair or not be dressed to leave. It was infuriating .. still good friends with her though. I think it's a character flaw and just as I can't bear to be late for anything they find it impossible to be on time. Your friend may never change. I bet even if you rang him to wake him up in the morning he would still be late for work as he would have to stay just that little longer in bed each day.
