They mean spin speeds, yeah. On the one hand, it depends on the material (in the case of art, it's actually bullshit) and on the other hand, the spin speed can be changed. Either with the program (for natural materials, gentle washing, wool (it is not spun there at all)) or even within the selected program set differently manually with the button, or the spin can be canceled at all. The spin phase can also be postponed until you come to the washing machine and start the spin by hand - so that the laundry is not spun in the washing machine for a long time, which is the worst thing about squeezing. You just wait for the wet laundry in the washing machine, you come, spin and hang it straight or put it in the dryer. I also wash washing machines with a dryer, but I have no experience with that.
