Europe's longest bridge, a railway bridge and a road bridge, is the ÖRESUND bridge. The bridge is 7,845 meters long and ends on an artificial island, where it continues with a 4.2-kilometer-long submarine canal. The bridge connects Scandinavia with Central and Western Europe, and at the city level it connects the Danish capital, Copenhagen, with Malmö, Sweden. By the way, when building the bridge, the only task was not only to solve the transport, as all the internet and data lines between the countries also pass through here.
