Candy cane, being both an ornament and a food item, is an obvious choice for making an edible wreath. The process of making the candy cane and the wreath is nearly identical. The only differences are the shape and the number of decorative items used for the wreath.
Ingredients:
candy cane wreath
1 cup sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup water
1/2 tsp peppermint oil
powdered sugar
food color

cookie sheet
candy thermometer
plastic wrap
mixing bowl
pan
oven
ribbon
bow
string
Procedure:
Place some powdered sugar on a cookie sheet.
Set the oven at medium heat then place the corn syrup, sugar and water in a pan. Stir and cook the mixture until it reaches the soft-crack stage. Use the candy thermometer to check.
Add the food coloring and the peppermint oil. Stir the mixture thoroughly, so the peppermint and the food coloring are well distributed.
Set the mixture on a cookie sheet.
When the mixture has cooled down for a bit, mold it to the shape of a ********* wreath.
Place the candy cane wreath on the cookie sheet with the powdered sugar until it hardens.
When the wreath is formed, wrap it in a plastic wrap.
Tie the ribbon around the wreath then attach the bow at the top portion.
Affix the string at the of the wreath then hang it on your door or wall.
