How to Make a Facial Mask
Facial masks help our facial skin keep healthy and smooth. Making your own facial mask makes sure that you know exactly what goes into your mask and that it’s tailor-made for your skin’s needs. Here are the different natural facial masks for different skin types.
All Skin Types
Ingredients
1 1/2 teaspoon French green clay
1 1/2 tablespoon aloe vera gel
1/2 teaspoon kaolin clay
1 tbsp rosewater
3 drops rose essential oil
Procedure
Mix the green clay and the kaolin clay very well.
Add aloe vera, rosewater and rose essential oil. Mix.
Apply on your face and let it stay for 10-15 minutes. Wash off, and follow with cleanser and moisturizer.
Refrigerate the mixture when not in use. It can last for up to four weeks.
Oily Skin
Ingredients
1 whole ripe banana
1 tablespoon honey
1 orange or lemon
Procedure
Mash the banana using a fork or a food processor, until it attains a pasty quality.
Mix the honey with the mashed banana.
Add a few drops of orange or lemon juice.
Apply to your face and leave on for 10 minutes. Wipe off using a steaming warm washcloth.
Dry Skin
Ingredients
1/3 cup old-fashioned oatmeal, uncooked
1 tsp water
1 egg
2 strawberries (for oily skin)
1 small banana (for normal skin)
2 cucumber slices
Procedure

Before starting, make sure that your skin is not allergic to egg by rubbing a small portion of egg on a small area of skin.
Mix the oatmeal, water and egg until it achieves a pasty texture. If not, add more water until you reach the desired consistency
If you have oily skin, add the strawberries.
If you have normal skin, add the banana.
Apply the mixture on your face, avoiding your eyes and mouth. Let dry until or until five minutes until it is completely hard.
Wash off with warm water.
Put the cucumber slices over your eyes to relax them.
Oily and Dry Skin or Combination Skin
Ingredients
5-6 fresh rose petals
1 tablespoons natural yogurt, unsweetened and unflavored
2 tablespoons rose water
1 tablespoon honey, warmed in microwave for a few seconds
Procedure
Soak rose petals for several minutes in water, and crush them in a bowl.
Mix all the other ingredients together until it achieves a pasty consistency.
Apply to your face and leave on for 10 minutes.
Rinse off with warm water.
