How to Juggle a Soccer Ball
Juggling a soccer ball is a typical warm up exercise for soccer players, and it’s a nifty trick to boot. To do this trick successfully, you just need patience, focus and yes, you need to be relaxed. Here’s how to juggle a soccer ball.
Practice in a stable and level ground, such as your lawn or your garage.
Wear proper soccer attire, especially soccer shorts and shoes.
Hold the ball with both hands over your dominant foot. Make sure that your foot is slightly raised and poised to kick.

Drop the ball directly on the foot and kick up your foot just as the ball lands around the toe area. Don’t put too much force in it, just enough to send the ball flying straight up for about a foot and then back down again.
An alternative way to start juggling the ball is by placing the ball on the ground, in front of your foot. Roll the ball slightly on top of your toes, and kick your foot up to make the ball fly in the air.
Keep your toes poised slightly higher than the heel, but not straight up, just tilted slightly. This will help cause the ball to spin slightly towards you.
Instead of waiting for the ball to fall back down, meet the ball halfway, or catch the ball while it is still in the air.
Keep on doing this and then with your other foot, until you are reasonably comfortable with juggling with both feet.
Try to juggle twice in a row, catching with either foot or just one foot. Try to kick as many times in a row without dropping the ball on the ground.
Keep relaxed and find the soccer ball juggling rhythm that’s comfortable to you. With enough practice, you’re sure to get used to juggling a soccer ball.
