Everyone dreams of living the bed and breakfast lifestyle. Nothing beats the feeling of waking up to the aroma of freshly-made breakfast teasing you by your bedside. Simple as it may seem, a lot of people do not really think it is possible. Their busy lives and their equally busy family members won’t permit them to do so.
Then again, if they only had serving trays, serving breakfast would be a whole lot easier. Breakfasts in bed might be the new standard of early morning dining with more of these trays around.
The serving tray is usually made of a hard plastic sheet with handles that make the transportation of meals easy. The plastic used for the tray is chemically treated, making the tray durable and resistant to extreme temperatures. With a serving tray, you can easily carry meals from one room to another without worrying about the tray breaking or cracking from very hot food.
The serving tray is a very simple item. When making your own serving tray, all you need is a plastic mold that bears the shape of the tray, a boiler and some paint. The procedures are rather quick and simple. In fact, they are almost as easy as going to the shopping center to buy a ready-made serving tray.
Materials Used:
strips of treated plastic
boiler
plastic mold
paint
The first step is to shape the plastic to form the general shape of the serving tray. Get several strip of treated plastic and place them in the boiler. After a few moments, the plastic will melt. Pour the melted plastic in the plastic mold and wait for it to harden.
Once the melted plastic hardens, you can take it out of the mold and have your cans of paint ready. Paint nice and simple patterns on your tray so that it can highlight the appearance and the scent of the food it will be carrying.
When the paint dries, your new serving tray will be ready. Your only job at this point is to convince your family members to deliver your breakfast by your bedside every morning, which happens to be harder than making your own serving tray.
