Qurbani: Virtues and deeds ﺇﻥ ﺍﻟﺤﻤﺪ ﻟﻠﻪ ﻭﺍﻟﺼﻼﺓ ﻭﺍﻟﺴﻼﻡ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﺁﻟﻪ ﻭﺻﺤﺒﻪ ﺃﺟﻤﻌﻴﻦ ﺑﻌﺪ ﺑﻌﺪ Because the slave can get closer to Allah through sacrifice. The word qurban is derived from the word qurban. That is to be close , to gain proximity. Since the means of attaining nearness to Allah is Qurbani, its name is Eid of Qurbani. Eid is celebrated on this day and hence it is called Eid of Qurbani. Another name of this Eid is Eid-ul-Adha. The Arabic word adbaha means sacrificial animal , since the sacrificial animal is slaughtered on this day , it is called Eid al-Adha. Importance of Sacrifice Sacrifice is a great example of Islam. In the Qur'an, Allah has commanded : [Surah Al- Kawthar : 2] Narrated Abu Huraira ( may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: « [Musnad Ahmad , Ibn Majah - Hasan Hadith 3123] This hadith is a warning to those who renounce sacrifice. Similarly , the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) instructed the people to offer sacrifices, saying : [Sunan Ibn Majah-3125 , Hadith is Hasan]. From the above discussion it is evident that sacrifice is obligatory. However, many ulama have said in the Sunnah of sacrificing Kiram Muakkadah. History of Sacrifice Sacrifice is a provision of Allah. From the time of Adam (peace be upon him) there was a system of sacrifice in the age of every prophet. Since it had provisions in the age of every prophet, its importance is immense. As Irshad has said : ﴿ Let them remember the name of Allah over all the cattle that He has given them as sustenance . [Surah Al-Hajj: 34] ) لتٱو۞ عليهم نبأ ٱبني ءادم بٱلحق إذ قربا قربانا فتقبل من أحدهما ولم يتقبل من ٱلأخر ([المائدة: 27] And describe the news of the two sons of Adam , when they submit sacrifices Did. Then it was taken from one and not from the other. [Surah Al-Ma'idah: 34] Allah Ta'ala has sent his dear friend Ibrahim (peace be upon him) to various tests and Ibrahim (peace be upon him) has passed all the tests. Allaah says ( interpretation of the meaning) : And remember when Ibrahim (Abraham) was tested by some words of his **** , then he fulfilled them. He said , "I will make you a leader." [Surah Al-Baqarah-124] Ibrahim (peace be upon him) faced a severe test like sacrificing his son. Give me a good child. Then We gave him glad tidings of a patient child. Later, when the child reached the age of running with him, he (Ibrahim) said one day , O son! I dreamed that I was sacrificing you by the command of Allah. Now you think and think and what is your opinion ? He (Ishmael) said , "Father, do what you are commanded to do." InshaAllah you will find me among the patient. Then when they both agreed to obey Allah , he (Ibrahim) laid his son down to be slaughtered. I called him and said , O Ibrahim! You made the dream come true. This is how I reward the righteous. Surely this is a big test. And We exchanged him for a great sacrifice and set an example for later generations. Peace be upon Ibrahim (peace be upon him). ” It is a rare event in the history of the world to offer the best example of patience by sacrificing the life-giving son of a great father in the hope of gaining nearness to Allah alone and successfully passing the most difficult test given by Allah. In the verses mentioned in the Quran, the self-sacrifice of Ibrahim and Ishmael (peace be upon them) and their unlimited obedience to Allah are given a smooth analysis. The above verse proves that the sacrifice is obligatory on the Ummah of Muhammad (peace be upon him) by sacrificing Dumba instead of sacrificing one's own son. Purpose of Sacrifice Sacrifice is an important act of worship. Allah Almighty created the human race just to worship Him. Therefore, the provision of Allah must be followed in the way He has directed. He said: "I have created the jinn and mankind that they may worship Me." [Surah Az-Zariyat-58] The provision of sacrifice from Allah has many purposes for us: 1. Unconditional obedience Allah has the authority to give any command to His slave and the slave is bound to obey it. So his loyalty will be unconditional. It is necessary to have the same mindset in carrying out the command of Allah, whether it is easy or difficult, and compassion cannot be an obstacle in obeying the command of Allah. The obedience of Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was unconditional. For this reason, just as Allah the Almighty has divided the world mankind into different nations, so also the father of the Muslim nation has been nominated as the last nation. It is stated in the Qur'an : He has already named you Muslims. ' [Surah Al-Hajj: 6] Acquiring Taqwa One cannot attain nearness to Allah without attaining Taqwa. One of the desires of a Muslim is to attain nearness to Allah. By shedding the blood of the animal, the giver of sacrifice attains nearness to Allah Almighty. As Allah says:) لن ينال ٱلله لحومها ولا دماؤها ولكن يناله ٱلتقوى منكم كذلك سخرها لكم لتكبروا ٱلله على ما هدىكم وبشر ٱلمحسنين 37 ([الحج: 37] ' their flesh and blood paumchaya Allah, but your piety paumchaya. Thus He has made them subservient to you, that you may proclaim the superiority of Allah because He has guided you ; So give good news to the doers of good.
