Tarabeeh (Arabic: تَرَاوِيْحِ) ) The singular form of the word ' tarbihatun ' ( Arabic: تَروِيْحَة ) . Its lexical meaning is to sit , to rest , to relax [1]. In Islam, Tarabeeh is the night prayer that Muslims perform every night during the month of Ramadan after the obligatory Isha prayers. [2] The Tarabeeh prayer is performed in two rak'ats and any number of rak'ats. The Vitr prayer is recited after the Tarabeeh prayer . The rak'at of Tarabeeh prayers has not been specified. Followers of Hanafi , Shafi'i and Hambli fiqh recite 20 rak'ats, followers of Maliki fiqh 38 rak'ats and Ahl al-Hadith recite 8 rak'ats of Tarabeeh.
