The Integrated Child Development Project (ICDS) is an important project for mothers and children. Anganwari centers are run under this project. The purpose of this project is to provide integrated services to the children , reduce the incidence of sickness and death of the children, encourage the children to go to school , strengthen the foundation for the physical , mental and social development of the child. In order to be able to take care of the baby properly , the mother and the child can get six types of services at the Anganwadi Center by providing supplementary food for the first three months of pregnancy and after delivery .
